Disturbing scenes when a man hit on the head by an ax after the crash on Dublin street

A man has reportedly been seriously injured in a brutal ax attack following a clash between two groups in Dublin city this afternoon.

Gardai was called to the scene of the melee around 2 p.m. this afternoon at the intersection of Creighton Street and Hanover Street in Dublin 2.

A source told Dublin Live that a boy was shot in the head with an ax while windows were also smashed in the area.

Video footage obtained by Dublin Live shows a sizeable gang surrounding one man on the ground while others sneak away.

Shouts of “hit it with the ax” can be heard as up to five boys can be seen around two others fighting on the ground.

A man throws a bicycle at the group as they separate in other battles amid shouts of “kill him.”

At the end of the video, one of the men on the ground receives a blow to the head and immediately moves off the ground, holding his head and crying in pain.

Gardai told Dublin Live they were at the scene “of an incident that occurred in the Windmill Lane / Creighton Street area of ​​Dublin 2 today at approximately 2 pm”.

They continued: “It is reported that an altercation occurred between a group of young people.
