The 49-year-old has given a heartbreaking warning to others, telling them, “Don’t let this be you.”
The family, who live in Whitwick, Leicestershire, fell ill after Anabel’s 12-year-old son contracted the coronavirus after he returned to school in September.
It wasn’t long before Maria, Anabel, her husband Bharat, and their other sons Jacob, 22, and Noah, 10, fell ill.
Maria and Anabel were taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and received oxygen in October.
Two weeks later, Grandma Maria told her daughter that she had signed a Do Not Resuscitate order.
The next day, the doctors took Anabel to her mother’s bed and María died on November 1.
Anabel was released from the hospital a month later, but her lungs are severely damaged and she needs oxygen to get around.
The 49-year-old said the speed with which the virus swept through her family was terrifying, adding that it is a “roulette wheel if you will survive.”
Anabel told the Sunday People: “If anyone is thinking of breaking the rules, I urge them to put themselves in my shoes and think about what it would be like to see their mother die or to be told that she may not live. “
COVERED TRAGEDY
She added that her entire family had been very careful during the pandemic, as her mother lives with her.
The family would receive food deliveries and Anabel only left the house to do school.
In her final moments, Maria removed her oxygen mask to say goodbye to Anabel and her sister Susana, who was allowed to enter the room in PPE.

It comes after Matt Hancock revealed that more than a million Britons have received the Covid vaccine while declaring that “the end is in sight”.
Hancock tweeted today: “A huge THANK YOU to all who are playing your role in the national effort to defeat the coronavirus.
“More than a million people have already been vaccinated.
“With the vaccine deployment accelerating, the end is in sight and we will get through it together.”
The news comes in a context of harsh Covid restrictions, with almost all of England now living under Level 3 and Level 4 restrictions.
All primary schools in London will now be closed for at least two more weeks after Christmas as cases skyrocket, with calls to schools across the country.
