Cyclist rushed to hospital after being hit by bus in central Dublin

A cyclist was rushed to hospital after a collision with a bus in Dublin city center tonight.

The vehicle was turning a corner at the intersection of Parnell Street and Gardiner Street on the north side of the city when it struck the woman.

She was rushed to Mater Hospital where, fortunately, her injuries are not believed to be serious.

A Garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “Gardaí attended the scene of a traffic collision on Gardiner Street tonight, Monday, September 28, 2020 at 7pm.

“A cyclist, a woman in her 20s, collided with a bus that was turning left.

“The cyclist was transferred to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital with non-serious injuries.

“Investigations continue.”
