A cyclist was found on a Tipperary trail with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon.
Gardai is seeking witnesses after the man, who was 40, was discovered around 3:20 p.m. on Sarsfield Street in Nenagh.
He was rushed to Limerick University Hospital with serious injuries, but investigations are still not sure how they happened.
Currently, the road is closed for technical examinations, while there are local detours.
A spokesperson said: “Gardaí is investigating a serious single-vehicle traffic collision involving a bicycle that occurred at approximately 3:20 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, on Sarsfield Street, Nenagh, County Tipperary.
“The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to Limerick University Hospital with serious injuries.
“Currently, the road is closed pending a technical examination by forensic collision investigators. There are local detours.
“Gardaí in Nenagh are asking for witnesses to come forward.

“Gardaí is also attractive to road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam) traveling down Sarsfield Street from 3:00 pm to 3:20 pm to make these images available to Gardaí.
