A grateful young Dublin father is looking to return an act of kindness after a stranger found his lost wallet full of cash, tracked down where he lived, and then sent it through his mailbox.
Relieved Dwayne Freeman shared a CCTV video in hopes of tracking down the mysterious young woman with a big heart, whose honesty the father of one (and soon to be two) wants to reward.
The Crumlin Man footage captures the magical moment when the mysterious Good Samaritan, having tracked down his home, returns his wallet with cash, cards and other contents still inside.
And Dwayne told Dublin Live that it was great to get it all back with all the money, especially since his wife hoped their second child was imminent.
Launching his search to find the kind stranger, he posted, “Does anyone know this woman?
“I lost my wallet today in Old County in Crumlin and she had the decency to leave it with everything she still had, including cash.
“I would really like to pay this woman with chocs and flowers. If anyone knows her, could you send me her name or phone number?”
Dwayne told Dublin Live tonight that the young woman’s act of kindness showed that “there are still good people in the world.”
He guesses the quick-thinking young woman, wearing glasses, a gray top, and eyeglasses, went through her wallet and found her driver’s license to track where she lives.
The excited father emphasized how eager he is to be able to thank her, adding, “It’s comforting to know that there are still great people out there.
“So I really wish I could thank you.”
The post, which Dwayne posted to a local Facebook group, has already been shared more than 200 times, but sadly, he has yet to discover the mystery woman.
