A gang search has been launched to find the perpetrators of an aggravated robbery in which a person inside the home was detained at knife point.
The masked trio broke into a home in North Kildare Tuesday night, but were confronted by a man who entered Clane’s property at 9 p.m.
The group had broken into the house while it was unoccupied, but threatened the young man with a knife when he returned to the property before fleeing with a cash sum.
Agents from Naas Garda station launched a Garda investigation and witnesses were urged to come forward.
A Garda spokeswoman said: “Gardaí is investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at approximately 9pm on Tuesday, January 5, at a residence in Clane, Co Kildare.
“It was reported that a sum of cash was taken. No injuries to people or damage to property were reported.”
He added: “To date no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.”
