A Dublin teenager was chased by a crazed gunman while waiting for his mother to pick him up in a terrifying incident in North Dublin.
The young man was quietly minding his own business waiting for his elevator outside Finglas Garda station when the middle-aged man approached him on Thursday night around 6 p.m.
The man told the boy that he was going to the Garda station to pick up his Bible.
When the man returned, he demanded that the teenager get up from the seat he was sitting in or he would “feel the wrath of God.”
After laughing at his spiel, the teenager got up to walk away, before being chased by the man swinging a large wooden plank wildly.
Fortunately, the boy managed to get away from his pursuer and get home, and his concerned mother took to Facebook to warn her local peers.
The post read: “My 14-year-old son was jogging alone tonight around 6pm, and he was waiting for me at Finglas Garda station when it started to rain.
“He was sitting down and a 40-year-old man started saying weird things to him, at first he thought it was funny.
“The guy then told him to get up from the seat he made and started walking, my boy looked back and the bastard was running towards him with a big wooden board that he took from the gym parking lot.
“He hid behind a car and managed to get back up to meet me.
“He informed the guards that he was wearing a black jacket, a black hat and a shopping bag.”
Dublin Live has contacted An Garda Siochana about the ordeal.
