There is growing fear that the Covid-19 outbreaks will delay the launch of the vaccine in nursing homes, which will begin on Monday.

The nursing home vaccination program is due to begin in two Dublin homes, and residents and staff at 23 other facilities will also receive the first dose of Pfizer BioNtech next week.

On January 11 there will be a massive deployment in more than 500 other nursing homes.
