The country has seen another 859 new confirmed coronavirus cases as it enters the first weekend of Level Five restrictions today.
Sadly, another four deaths from Covid-19 were confirmed in a statement from the National Public Health Emergencies Team (NPHET).
Along with the numbers, a breakdown of where the cases have been recorded is often provided.
As of midnight Friday, 192 of the 859 cases were registered in Dublin.
Some 148 were in Cork, up from 41 confirmed on Friday, 58 in Donegal, 55 in Galway and 54 in Meath (previously incorrectly reported as Monaghan), with the other 352 cases spread across the remaining 21 counties.
Overall, it’s an increase on Thursday, when 777 cases were recorded.
There were increases in the figures on Friday for Dublin, Cork, Donegal, Kildare, Louth, Kerry, Waterford, Carlow, Mayo and Kilkenny, but they decreased elsewhere.
