Covid-19 Ireland lockdown possibilities rated for each county today as Level Four looming

Several counties are at risk of further restrictions and even moving to Level Four after an increase in cases in the past two weeks.

Very few areas have escaped the sharp increase in the number of infections in recent days.

One of the key measures used by health officials to determine if lockdowns are needed is the 14-day confirmed case incidence rate.

And Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan are now the three regions with the highest incidence rate in the country.

The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet on Thursday to decide on new measures.

Dr. Tony Holohan, Medical Director.

And the Irish Times reports this morning that it looks like border counties will rise to Level Four when health experts gather, and concerns about Dublin are also growing after a further spike in cases in recent days.
