Coronavirus Ireland: four deaths and 344 new confirmed cases

Four more people have died after contracting Covid-19.

344 new cases were also confirmed, meaning that the republic’s figures have now passed the 70,000 mark.

Of the current cases, there were 127 in Dublin, while Cork was the second highest at 46.

The health department said: “The Health Protection Surveillance Center has been notified today of 4 additional deaths related to COVID-19.

“There have been a total of 2,022 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland.

“As of midnight on Friday 20th In November, the HPSC was notified of 344 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There are currently a total of 70,143 * confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland. “

Of the cases reported today;

  • 156 are men / 185 are women
  • 69% are under 45 years old
  • The average age is 32 years.
  • 127 in Dublin, 46 in Cork, 26 in Louth, 22 in Donegal, 20 in Limerick, and the remaining 103 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

As of 2:00 p.m. today, 269 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 32 are in the ICU. 12 additional hospitalizations in the last 24 hours
