Coronavirus Ireland: Dr Ronan Glynn Urges All Families To Plan To See Fewer People As Daily New Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19 Hit Highest Since April

[ad_1]

Dr. Ronan Glynn has urged all families to sit down and make a plan to reduce the number of people they will see this week.

The chief doctor’s warning comes after 430 new cases of COVID-19 were announced today, including 212 in Dublin.

Today’s number was the highest confirmed since April 26.

No deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours according to the latest HSPC update.

The interim CMO is urging people in locked Dublin and Donegal in particular to heed the advice.

“As we begin this new week, I ask every household in the country to sit together tonight and make a plan to reduce the number of people who meet this week,” said Dr. Glynn.

“We have absolutely no room for complacency.

“If every person, family, workplace and organization does not do their part, the situation will continue to deteriorate.

“For people living in Donegal and Dublin, remember that the advice of the government is to work from home unless it is essential to attend in person.

“For people who live in these and all other counties, please assume that COVID-19 is circulating in your community and act accordingly.”
