Coronavirus Ireland: 825 new cases and one more death announced

Health officials today announced a total of 825 new cases of COVID-19.

The total number of infections now stands at 43,531.

Sadly, one more person has lost their lives to the deadly virus, as the death toll is now 1,827.

Of the cases reported today;

  • 426 are men / 392 are women
  • 78% are under 45 years of age
  • The average age is 30 years.
  • 254 in Dublin, 147 in Cork, 39 in Cavan, 38 in Donegal, 37 in Kildare, and the remaining 310 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

As of 2:00 p.m. today, 224 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 32 are in the ICU. 20 additional hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.
