Conor McGregor vigorously denies allegations following arrest in Corsica

MMA star Conor McGregor has reportedly been arrested in Corsica, but “has vigorously denied any allegations of misconduct.”

The AFP news agency reports the details of the arrest of the UFC star on September 10.

McGregor recently announced that he would be joining Princess. Charlene from Monaco for a charity event and there have been rumors that the retired star was planning a return to the Octagon.

His lawyers released a statement via TMZ stating that the UFC star ‘vigorously denies any allegations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released ”.

McGregor recently got engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Dee Devlin. The couple have two children, Conor Jr and Croia.

The MMA star rose to fame in the UFC, winning the featherweight title before becoming the promotions’ first ‘Champ Champ’ when he defeated Eddie Alverez to simultaneously hold the lightweight title.

The Dubliner then switched to boxing to face Floyd Mayweather in a mega-money fight.

He has since lost both of his UFC titles, shed the featherweight crown and lost the lightweight title to Khabib Nurmagomedov, although he made a triumphant return to the cage in January this year defeating Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.
