Anyone who has exited the PUP payment before November 27 will not receive the Christmas Bonus this week.
Many people return to work this month after the end of the shutdown and the return of the hospitality and retail sectors.
However, most of these workers will still be able to claim the Christmas bonus that is paid this weekend.
This is if they also meet the 17 week criteria.
But if you returned to work on November 26 and got out of pandemic unemployment pay that day, you will not receive the bonus.
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys said last week: “As an exceptional measure this year, people who receive PUPs or another job applicant’s pay for four months or more will receive the bonus.
“There are many individuals and families who have lost their job or business as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and have been out of work for several months.
“The Bonus will help ease the financial burden on them at this very difficult time. Anyone who receives PUP any day from Friday, November 27 through Thursday, December 3 can be assured that they will continue to receive the Christmas Bonus payment. on Tuesday, December 8, as long as they also meet the 17-week requirement.
“I wanted to make sure that people who returned to work next week after the restrictions were eased didn’t miss out on the bonus payment.”
