Cherry Orchard scrambler collision causes child to be rushed to hospital with serious injuries

A child has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Dublin.

The incident took place in the Cherry Orchard area after 7pm tonight.

It is understood to have happened when a quad and an encoder collided at Croftwood Crescent.

The little girl was taken to Crumlin Hospital with serious injuries.

Another person, an adult male, was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment for serious non-life-threatening injuries.

A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a two-vehicle collision that occurred at Croftwood Crescent, Cherry Orchard, Dublin 10, at approximately 7:20 pm, on September 17, 2020.

“A girl was taken to Crumlin Hospital for treatment for serious injuries. A 19-year-old man was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment for serious but non-fatal injuries. No further information is available at this time.”
