Bruno Fernandes admits that Manchester United must do better on some basic aspects of their performance after the dramatic win at Brighton.
United rode his luck to seal his first Premier League win of the season courtesy of the Fernandes penalty which was awarded after the final whistle sounded at the AmEx.
Brighton was the best team for long stretches, but the Seagulls hit the wood five times and blew a couple of good chances.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows United was free but Fernandes had little sympathy for Brighton. However, he is concerned about United’s current form.
He said BT sport: “Brighton did very well. Everyone can say they deserved more, but the point is to score more goals, not hit the crossbar or the post. “
“In the first half we left them a lot of space to play.

“We were not as aggressive as I wanted, we gave away two goals and we can do much better.
“I can do the penalty much better, the second goal we have to do much better too, we make some mistakes.
“But big teams need to be like that, believe it until the end.
“We were not as aggressive as we wanted, we need to recover more balls, we need to press better, we need to lose fewer balls.”
