As Ant and Dec proudly watched from the side of the stage, John took up his piano sporting a striking white blazer.
“Hello, good night, hello,” John said at the top of his performance. “It’s amazing to be here, obviously.”
The BGT act then explained what it had in store for Amanda, Ashley, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams.
“For my audition I did a song about my kids and being a dad,” he said. “Tonight, I want to take you a little further back to when I was a kid and about my mom and dad.”

John performed his own hit titled ‘When I Was A Boy’ and while it included stories from his childhood, he couldn’t help but hit the BGT judges a few hits along the way.
Using his wit and musical talent, John amazed everyone with his comic timing and heartfelt stories from his past.
As his song neared its climax, John began to choke while singing about his mother and father, even featuring the former via a video link for a virtual bow.
John’s mother appeared on the big screen when she joined in on her son’s performance and it didn’t take long for emotions to flare in Amanda and Alesha either.
Alesha was also full of praise and said to the singer: “I feel very happy for you,
“You nailed it, my friend. Well done,” concluded the BGT judge.
Amanda then revealed why the emotions of the performance became too much, as she chimed in: “Your mother blew me away in the end,
“I am treating this program as therapy, I cry all the time.”
The studio giggled when Amanda added, “I really want it for you, I think this is one of the best golden rings we’ve had on the show because it feels like Britain’s Got Talent.”
“I think after the year we’ve had, you would be an incredible, brilliant winner.”
Ashley then began her evaluation by saying, “We may be looking at the winner of this year’s show, it was so good.”
But will John have what it takes to win the entire contest and pocket the cash prize of £ 250,000?
Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturday on ITV.
