Boyzone singer Shane Lynch revealed that he moved out of the family home after arguing with his wife during the lockdown.
Lynch, 43, admitted that he and his wife of 13 years, Sheena White, have been “in each other’s throats” while locked inside due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Appearing on the Morning After podcast of former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan, he said: “We have had difficult times and are going through difficult times in this moment of isolation.
“I’m not even in my family’s house right now because she and I were in each other’s throats. It wasn’t a good time or a good space.”
Lynch and White have two daughters, ages 11 and seven, and were married in 2007.
The Irish singer said the family was not used to him spending as much time at home as he tends to be on tour.
“I’m usually on the road and for the first time I’ve spent three months at home,” he said.
“I’m suddenly at home a lot. You discover things about relationships and it can be very difficult. It can be a struggle.”
Despite his difficulties, Lynch, part of Boyzone alongside Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Michael Graham and the late Stephen Gately, said he hoped he could get back with White.
“I pray every day, my wife and I fix our things and go back to my children,” he said.
“I pray the longer my wife and I are apart at this time, during these difficult times, it creates a strength so that when we get back together, life will continue to be amazing for the next 15, 20, 30 years.
“But I don’t know God’s plan. Just because I love her and I love my children, does that mean there is something new for me in life? I don’t know. I have to wait for my time.
