Gardai has tragically discovered a body while searching for a missing Offaly man.
Pat Walsh, 54, was last seen in the Birr area on Sunday.
Described as six feet, with gray hair and a large build, Gardai said he may have been traveling in a gray VW Golf when a call was issued for help to find him Monday.
Tragically, the search has been called off since a body was found on Wednesday.
A garda spokeswoman said: “The search for the missing person for Pat Walsh, who was missing in Birr, Co. Offaly since November 22, 2020, was suspended following the discovery of a body.”
“We want to thank the public and the media for their help in this matter.
“No further action is required and no further information is being provided.”
