Close again for United!

Shaw bursts from the left and fires at Cavani, who deflects him widely from close range under pressure from Cedric.

He got to the Uruguayan pretty fast there, so he couldn’t adjust his feet to turn towards goal.

Willian has a low Bellerin cross.

However, the midfielder hesitates, allowing Wan-Bissaka to cross at full speed and make one last block.

Moments later, Willian finds Pepe with a setback, but Maguire does very well to block the first goal attempt.

So halftime, and it’s been a pretty disappointing 45 start.

Both sides have been cautious, although United seem a bit more dangerous.

Arsenal have had a couple of encouraging moments on counterattack, but defenses have been on top overall.

It’s still a pretty tepid start, with neither side looking particularly threatening.

5:38P.M

It’s been a pretty rough and low-key start to this game.

Neither party has created an opportunity yet.

With the exception of Tottenham’s win, United’s Premier League matches against the big Premier League teams this season have been generally quite tight and cautious.

Confirmation of today’s teams …

4:44P.M

Hello and welcome to today’s live blog.

Both teams have certainly had turbulent times in their respective seasons, but they have similarly seen themselves somewhat rejuvenated of late.

United currently ranks second with 40 points, with the Gunners 10 points behind them in ninth.

Mikel Arteta’s team, which won the reverse game earlier in the season, will be determined to repeat that feat as they look to boost their top-four hopes.

And with the leaders at the table, Man City looking formidable as of late, it’s also vital for United to score three points to keep the pressure on their neighbors.
