Ireland’s tier five restrictions will end on December 1, and our next step has yet to be confirmed.
The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet today to discuss their recommendation to leave the lockdown.
But it appears that government ministers have almost decided on their plan for next month.
While a final decision will not be made until Thursday or Friday of this week, it is understood that Taoiseach Micheal Martin is aiming for a slightly modified version of Level Three.
There may be changes to certain restrictions, particularly in regards to the hospitality industry and pubs, where ministers are believed to be observing strict opening rules for gastropubs.
However, most of the rules will likely remain the same, especially when it comes to family reunions and travel restrictions.
