[ad_1]

AIB is warning customers of a “very realistic” text scam that tries to trap people.

The bank tweeted Monday about the scam telling people that their card has been used for an online transaction.

The text will read: “Your AIB Visa card has been used for online transactions at 6:30 PM.

“Not you? Go to (AIB Link) as soon as possible.”

On social media, an AIB spokesperson said: “Customers have alerted us to fraudulent text messages claiming to be from AIB and other banks.

“If you have received this text, please do not click the link. If you have responded to these messages, please contact us immediately and send a copy of the text to [email protected].”

A customer also relayed the message after receiving the scam message and added: “SCAM WARNING, very realistic @AIBIreland fraudulent text that takes you to a realistic website. I just spoke to the card services and it is a scam. Do not put your data “.
