A private funeral will be held for a Cork man who died in a tragic agricultural accident over the weekend.
John Reynolds, 74, of the Rising Sun pub, passed away after being injured by a bull while tending livestock on a farm in Ballinhassig on Saturday, May 9.
The father of four children was pronounced dead shortly after 7pm at Cork University Hospital.
The incident is being treated as a tragic accident, and the Health and Safety Authority is working with Gardai to investigate the death.
A death notice on RIP.ie says: “John, dear husband and best friend of Margaret (nee McCarthy), and loving and cherished father of Antoinette, Kieran, Linda and Loretta.

A private funeral will be held for John in accordance with Government and HSE guidelines.
A memorial mass will take place at a later date and condolences can be left at the condolences link on RIP.ie.
John’s funeral procession will pass the Rising Sun pub at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning and head to Ballyheada Cross.
The funeral mass will be broadcast live on the Ballinhassig Parish Facebook page Tuesday at 12 noon and John’s family called for the local community to join them online or on the road.

Condolence messages flooded online, with one person writing, “Heartfelt condolences to Margaret and the entire Reynolds family. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this sad time.”
Another added: “Our most sincere sympathy towards Margaret and her family for their tragic loss. John was a sincere R.I.P gentleman.”
Riverstick Community Center also paid tribute, writing on their Facebook page: “The Riverstick Community Association sincerely wishes to express its sincere condolences to the family and friends of John Reynolds, Rising Sun, Ballinhassig, for their very sad loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh an Anam. “
