Kym Marsh has said she is desperate to hug her army boyfriend as they finally reunite after their seven-month tour in Afghanistan.
Appearing today on Good Morning Britain, former Coronation Street star Kym promoted OK. Shelter Closet Cleanup Campaign to help raise funds for the charity shelter.
This occurs after the charity reported seeing a 50% increase in calls to its national domestic abuse hotline since the blockade began.
Speaking at GMB today, Kym said: “Charities are really suffering because people just don’t have the money, so OK is doing a great thing now.”
Kym also spoke about reuniting with his partner Scott Ratcliffe today and said it had been a “long tour”.
“It’s been 7 months,” Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard told hosts. “We had a little meeting for his R&R, but it’s been seven months.”
Kym and Scott have been dating since July 2018 after their separation from Matt Baker.
She continued, “I really, really missed him. It’s difficult because your partner is your support network. I just want a hug!”
The actress admitted that she also missed her grandson and couldn’t hug him.
Revealing it was her grandson’s first birthday on Sunday, she revealed that she dropped some gifts for him “at a safe distance.”
She added: “I can’t wait to squeeze it, chubby chops!”
* Good morning Great Britain airs Monday through Friday at 6 a.m. on ITV
