Yasmeen is represented by Imran Habeeb in the courtroom, while she also has her granddaughter Alya supporting her in the public gallery alongside Ryan Connor and Toyah Battersby.

Tim Metcalfe is also present and is likely to be supporting his father, but Sally’s loyalties may be more divided after she was previously tipped as a new ally for Yasmeen.

Sair Khan, who plays Alya, has previously revealed that the bail hearing won’t turn out well for Yasmeen.

In an interview last week, Sair explained: “Alya is truly shocked at Yasmeen being denied bail. She’d held onto hope that the truth would come out and justice would be served.

“She now realises that this is just the beginning of a long fight. She’s angered but not surprised by Tim’s reaction. The battle lines have been firmly drawn.

“Alya will stop at nothing to make sure the residents of Coronation Street find out what Geoff is really like. Her first plan is to find allies and she may just have found one in Sally.”
