Soaps will be kept on a reduced schedule throughout May, but that doesn’t mean the drama should stop.
Despite airing fewer weekly episodes, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks It will continue to entertain us with juicy twists, devastating discoveries, and the strange dilemma of romance.
Here’s our guide to some of the biggest stories to air in the coming weeks …
1. Yasmeen’s nightmare continues (Coronation Street)
We already know that Yasmeen will be charged for her attack on Geoff, but there is another twist to the story when bail is also denied.
Friday night’s episode saw Yasmeen having a terrifying showdown with Geoff, prompting her to attack him in self-defense. As Yasmeen now faces a very uncertain future as a result, heartbreaking scenes will force her to spend time in prison.
Confirming Yasmeen’s sad fate, Sair Khan, who plays her granddaughter Alya, said: “Alya is truly shocked that Yasmeen is being denied bail, she had clung to the hope that the truth would come out. light and justice would be done. Now he realizes this is just the beginning of a long fight. ”
2. The fire drama of Arthur and Archie (Emmerdale)
One of Emmerdale’s The biggest stories of the month will involve a shocking fire incident with Arthur Thomas and Archie Breckle.
The soap opera ITV released a new trailer last week causing a major campfire incident that will be the result of the ongoing feud by the two young men.
However, it is young Arthur who seems to suspect that he started it and then faces questions from the police. But is he to blame?
3. Kush faces more dilemmas about Jean (EastEnders)
A stressed-out Kush has been holding onto the fort as his girlfriend Kat had to suddenly leave Walford, but sadly, it’s about to become apparent that her troubles are only just beginning.
When Kush discovers that Jean has not been taking his medication, he takes extreme measures to try to rectify this.
Unfortunately, Kush’s troubles escalate when some additional incidents with Jean raise broader concern, and it soon becomes clear that he’s far out of reach …
4. Diagnosis of Tony’s shock (Hollyoaks)
Tony’s life will change later this month when he is diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Tony will be rushed to the hospital when his health worsens, and the recent advancement of the program confirms that he will later receive a devastating diagnosis.
The story will pave the way for Tony’s intriguing father, Edward, to return to the family, but does he really have his son’s best interests at heart?
5. Harriet and Malone’s secret story revealed (Emmerdale)
Some of the questions surrounding Harriet’s secret past with Malone could finally be answered later this month, but what exactly has happened between them?
Katherine Dow Blyton, who plays Harriet, has already pointed out her character’s connection to Malone as someone to look at, and the story will unfold in the coming weeks.
“They have a past, but that’s all I can tell you right now,” said Katherine. Inner soap, “Everything will be revealed in a few weeks, and it will be worth seeing.” We are intrigued
6. Oliver’s health to be reviewed (Coronation Street)
Leanne has been worried about Oliver since she had a seizure a few weeks ago, despite the fact that she and Steve have told them that it’s not necessarily something to worry about.
Sadly, Leanne’s worst fears could be confirmed later this month when Oliver’s health worsens.
Leanne’s concerns will begin to resurface when one of Oliver’s daycare workers expresses some concern that he is not physically developing at the same rate as the other children his age.
Magazine reports have also revealed that Oliver will have another seizure later this month, but what’s wrong with him? And will Leanne and Steve finally get the medical answers they need?
7. Phil promises to buy The Vic (EastEnders)
Phil currently has one thing and one thing in mind: The Vic. And as you are about to see, he will stop at nothing to get it.
Since Mick and Linda made the decision to sell the pub and start over, Phil has made no secret of his desire to regain his former refuge.
With Phil still convinced that he could open the door to a reunion with his estranged wife Sharon, the next few scenes will see him continue his plans to make his dream come true. No matter what it costs….
8. David goes in search of danger (Coronation Street)
David will take center stage for the next few weeks as his new story takes a few very dark turns.
Viewers have seen David chasing a troubling new hobby, after enjoying the thrill and buzz of his recent heist incident.
In the coming weeks, fans will see David deliberately continue to place himself in dangerous situations while remaining on a highly self-destructive path.
As David’s behavior begins to spiral out of control, it is clear that he could be facing serious problems. Can anyone make sense of it?
9. John Paul’s love triangle (Hollyoaks)
John Paul may be on the verge of becoming involved in a messy love triangle involving his old love James and new PC George Kiss of love interest.
Fans are currently seeing the early stages of a romance unfolding between John Paul and PC Kiss, but James will release an almighty key in the works with a declaration of self-love.
James Sutton, who plays John Paul, has teased that James will decide he wants John Paul back just as the teacher is starting to move on.
“When James declares his love for John Paul, John Paul gets really mad!” James told him Digital spy. “John Paul is trying to do what is best for his son. Obviously, the relationship of James and John Paul has been very positive. James shot John Paul’s sister and I don’t know how to get over it.”
10. Andrea’s next shocking move (Emmerdale)
Andrea had her world upside down last week, after realizing that her husband Jamie was cheating on her with Belle Dingle.
Refusing to fall without a fight, Andrea decided to refrain from revealing what she discovered, and instead will find new ways to make Belle suffer in the coming weeks.
But with Andrea clearly willing to do whatever it takes to keep Jamie, how far will she go? And what will this mean for Belle?
11. Lola fears for her secret (EastEnders)
After recently confiding to Callum about her one-night stand with Peter, Lola begins to fear that it is only a matter of time before the truth is known.
Lola will panic after catching her boyfriend Jay, she has a somewhat unusual conversation with her ex and her fears will intensify when Peter makes it clear that he has the letters with him.
But with Peter currently showing a new interest in Dotty Cotton, will he keep his night with Lola a secret? Or are you about to reveal your secret?
