Joe Wicks will undergo surgery today after struggling with agonizing pain related to his injured hand.

Body Coach, 33, explained to fans that he had been admitted to the hospital on Friday after his previous injury was inflamed.

Joe initially fractured his hand in late March after falling off his bike and has already undergone surgery for the injury.

Despite making progress in his recovery in recent weeks, the YouTube star said he woke up on Friday and his hand was throbbing “like hot liquid magma.”

The YouTube star, who has tried to keep the nation active during the ongoing blockade, turned to social media to share his second hospital experience with his 3.6 million followers on Instagram.

The ‘nation’s physical education teacher’ posted an x-ray of his hand showing various painful-looking cables.

He told fans: “Good news. The bones have healed. The wires have not been broken, but the soft tissue is inflamed and possibly infected.

“They are operating today and removing the cables. They have given me some strong pain relievers that have taken the edge off.”

However, the medical staff at Kingston Hospital was unable to get Joe to surgery immediately because other patients were waiting, so the exercise guru spent Friday night in a hospital bed before the minor procedure scheduled for the Saturday.

The fitness trainer revealed that his hand injury was throbbing and he had to undergo a second procedure.

Wearing a hospital gown in most of his social media stories, Joe was given an IV drip to ease the pain.

Later Friday night, Joe spoke from his hospital bed about how grateful he was to the NHS and shared a series of kind messages from supporters.

“I feel super grateful for this health system we have, and there are people of all nationalities who come here and take care of me.”

In his last messages of the night, the health and fitness coach explained that his thoughts were with the country’s frontline staff and health workers.

Joe revealed that he was given an intravenous drip to relieve pain and that he spent the night in the hospital.

“A lot of love to anyone who is personal to the NHS,” he added.

Joe hasn’t yet updated social media fans on what today’s minor procedure was like.
