Some parts of the country have been hit by much-needed sunshine in recent days, but would it even be Ireland if the sun lasted more than 48 hours?
Sadly, it looks like we’ll be saying goodbye to this glorious sunshine sooner rather than later, as Met Eireann has predicted a drastic change will take place.
We can expect some snow and temperatures to plummet to -3 ° C; we know, how does this make sense?
Make the most of today because conditions will get worse Sunday night when a cold front hits.
A forecaster from Met Eireann said: “Another dry and mostly sunny day on Saturday with only a few patchy clouds developing at times during the afternoon. Higher temperatures 11 ° C to 14 ° C, with light northern breezes or variable breezes.
“Dry with clear periods, with some fog and fog developing. Icy patches can also develop locally as temperatures drop between -1 ° C and 4 ° C with light and variable breezes.”

But despite the good conditions over the weekend, it is the beginning of a new week in which conditions will worsen.

“The lowest temperatures of -3 ° C to 2 ° C generally on Tuesday nights, staying a little warmer along the western coasts with mild to moderate or variable western breezes.”
