Mike haley 6
He found it difficult to impact proceedings and was alert on defense all afternoon as Toulouse aimed for kicking space in the backfield.
Andrew Conway 6
Drawn from his wing for Lebel’s attempt as Ntamack brilliantly blew the space wide open. Frustrating afternoon for Conway, who didn’t get a chance to shine in attack.
Chris Farrell 7
He recovered after a yellow card in the third minute for a trip. Connected well with his centermate De Allende when Munster dominated Toulouse in midfield.
Damian de Allende 8
The Springbok produced a graceful performance and was heavily involved in both Earls’ attempts, while its powerful charge put its side on the front foot regularly.
Keith Earls 8
Keep delivering at the highest level. Two attempts in three minutes of the first half, the first of which was a magnificent finish. He somehow avoided a yellow card for taking Kolbe into the air.
Joey carbery 7
He varied the play well and was a threat every time he brought the ball to the line. Lebel couldn’t be prevented from scoring and saw a lot of traffic on his channel before being replaced.
Conor Murray 7
Putting aside a couple of early box shots, the scrum-half was strong. A quality pass put Earls over the top for his second attempt, but Murray was very lucky not to have spent 10 minutes in the bin for a cynical penalty.
Dave Kilcoyne 7
He showed Munster what he was missing from the start of last week with an abrasive charge that asked questions of the Toulouse defense. Ran out of steam at the end.
Niall scannell 6
He’ll be upset that his first lineout shot went wrong, but then he stabilized the boat. He came back after a cut to the face and won a crucial loss, but conceded a costly late penalty.
Stephen Archer 6
He remembered the starting team and delivered a solid display. What you see is what you get with the stubborn veteran.
Jean Kleyn 7
One of the lock’s best performances when he brought the fight to a heavy pack. A carrier willing to play the entire game and spent a great deal of work around the ruck.
Tadhg Beirne 6
He won a signature fumble early on and had adjusted to the game long before he was forced to retire with injury after 37 minutes.
Gavin coombes 8
Another great performance from a man who is fast becoming one of Munster’s key players. He conceded two penalties in quick succession, but that was a minor blemish in an otherwise imposing display that was capped off with two attempts.
Jack O’Donoghue 8
He brilliantly stole a Toulouse lineout five meters from Munster’s line to ease the pressure. Great boots to fill up replacing Peter O’Mahony, but the Waterford man fit the bill perfectly.
CJ Stander 7
A couple of unusual bugs stifled its initial momentum, while it could have taken advantage of an overlap on its exterior. He took his socks off for the entire match and earned a vital breakdown penalty.
