Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan left the set during a discussion about Meghan Markle with his colleague, Alex Beresford.
On Monday morning, Morgan made a scathing critique of Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired overnight in the US and has since aired in the UK.
During the interview, the couple, who now live in the US, made a series of explosive revelations, including an accusation that a family member, neither the Queen nor Prince Philip, had made a racist comment about her unborn child, Archie.
Commenting on this Tuesday morning, Beresford said: “They have had an overwhelming amount of negative press.
“You know, I watched the show yesterday and, yeah, they had a lot of press around the wedding, but what press is going to ruin someone’s special day?
“There was bad press around engagement before engagement, and everything that followed since then has been incredibly damaging, quite clearly, to Meghan’s mental health and also to Harry.
“And I heard Piers say that William has been through the same thing but you know what, the brothers experience a tragedy in their life and one will be absolutely fine and ignore it and the other will not be able to deal with it so hard and that is clearly what has happened to Harry in this situation.

“He was walking behind his mother’s coffin at a tender, tender age in front of the globe. That is going to shape a child for the rest of their life, so I think we should all take a step back, and I understand that you do not like Meghan Markle, you have made that very clear several times. on this show … “
“And I understand that you have a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or you had one and she cut you off. He has the right to interrupt you if he wants. Has he said anything about you since he interrupted you? I don’t think I did, but you still keep throwing it away … “
Morgan then stood up and said, “Okay, I’m done with this” and walked away from the set, saying, “Sorry, no … sorry, I can’t do this …”
The ITV show host’s scathing comments on Monday drew criticism from mental health charity Mind.
The charity criticized Morgan, saying it was “disappointed and concerned” by his comments after Meghan said she had had suicidal thoughts.
He added: “It is vital that when people seek support or share their experiences of poor mental health, they are treated with dignity, respect and empathy.”
Morgan returned to the set after walking away for a lengthy conversation with Beresford and co-host Susanna Reid.
