RTE viewers say the same about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive interview

Meghan Markle made a number of shocking claims during her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan said she committed suicide during her time in the royal family, accusing her in-laws of being concerned about how dark Archie’s skin would be and claiming that the Duchess of Cambridge made her cry.

But she also talked about how much she liked and respected the Queen and revealed the gender of her unborn baby.

The long-awaited interview saw the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, lift the lid of life behind the palace walls and make several shocking accusations about their family.

Insiders say the Queen will not watch the show, but will receive detailed information from her staff during breakfast.

Filmed at the home of one of their friends, not far from their Californian mansion, the two-hour show was filmed before they were stripped of their royal patronages.

It featured an adorable home video of Archie playing on the beach and you could clearly see Meghan’s growing belly.

Meghan spoke honestly about her mental health and said she had suicidal thoughts during her time in the royal family.

She told Oprah that she “didn’t want to be alive anymore” and when asked directly if she was thinking about self-harm and if she had suicidal thoughts at any point, Meghan answered “yes.”

She says that Harry “cradled her” when he told her, and then admitted that she sent him to a “dark place”.

Meghan also claims that she asked the palace to seek professional help and said she no longer had access to personal effects like her passport after joining the family.

One of the most shocking lines from the interview was the claim that Harry had to have “conversations” within the royal house about how dark Archie’s skin might have been before he was born.

Meghan declined to say who the talks had been with, saying it would be “very damaging to them,” but said it happened on numerous occasions.

When he joined the interview later, Harry said that he would never reveal details of the conversations.

And RTE viewers were saying the same thing as they looked forward to the dramatic interview.

The national broadcaster gave the chat prime time and the excitement went through the roof, despite the lack of real connections from Ireland.
