RTE viewers have praised GAA legend Sean Boylan for his ‘gentle strength’ during an honest interview with Tommy Tiernan on tonight’s Tommy Tiernan show.

The Meath icon discussed her holistic approach to medicine, her history at GAA, and her connection to Hill of Tara on the RTE series.

When asked by Tommy about his connection to his home county, the sports star said it’s one of the things that helps him keep his feet on the ground.

He said, “Apaches have a great saying. We are who we are, but we are also who we were.

“You can actually go there and stand on the hill anywhere and you can turn towards Slane, you can turn towards Rossnaree.

“Bury me in Rossnaree and face the rising sun, you know the energy is there and it becomes part of you.”

He continued, “It helps you ground yourself and it helps you ground yourself and keeps you from getting too much notion about yourself or whatever.”
