A 51-year-old woman accused of child pornography distribution appeared in Cork District Court, where the DPP said the case could continue there only if she pleads guilty.
Defense attorney Pat Horan asked that the case against Evelyn Ajie be postponed until March 8 in district court.
Evelyn Ajie, with an apartment address on Clifton Terrace, Summerhill North, Cork, faces three charges.
The first count establishes that on September 1, 2019, you knowingly distributed child pornography, knowingly displaying it or facilitating any activity for the purpose of distribution, publication, export or display. She faces a similar charge related to October 5, 2019.
The third charge concerns an accusation that he knowingly possessed three videos described as child pornography stored on a device.
Sgt. Pat Lyons said the DPP ordered the matter to be heard in district court with only a guilty plea.
Otherwise, the charges will be heard in a trial by a judge and jury at the Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
Judge Olann Kelleher adjourned the case until Monday and ordered the defendant to remain free on bail.
