A new image has emerged of the murdered brothers Paddy and Willie Hennessy.

The couple were brutally murdered by their 59-year-old brother Johnny last Friday. The uproar is believed to have been sparked after a discussion about his logging business.

Paddy, 60, and Willie, 66, appear in what looks like a pub.

Meanwhile, the Garda watchdog is investigating reports that one of the men called local officials hours before the bloodbath to say no help was needed.

Detectives investigating the gruesome double murder-suicide have pieced together the gruesome timeline of the events leading up to the Hennessy brothers’ deaths.

The Garda watchdog has opened an investigation into a possible contact, believed to be a phone call between local officials and one of the men who claims the Gardai were not needed hours before the bloodshed.

A source told the Irish Mirror: “Johnny and Paddy were in the yard when Johnny was enraged and exploded. It is believed that he struck Paddy once with the ax and killed him on the spot.

“Detectives believe Johnny was so shocked that he thought the only way out was to kill Willie and take his own life.”
