A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in the south city center of Dublin.
Gardai attended the scene of the incident on Eugene Street shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
The man was taken to hospital shortly after and is said to be in serious condition.
Gardai is requesting information and has asked anyone with any to report to the Kevin Street Garda station or by calling the confidential Garda line at 1800 666 111.
No further details on the victim are available at this time for operational reasons.
The area reportedly remains isolated tonight after the shocking attack.
