Man in his 20s dies of suspected heart attack in shebeen

A man in his 20s fell dead of a heart attack in a suspected shebeen.

Ardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, and have seized equipment.

The 28-year-old man had a cardiac arrest while in a latrine in Co Kilkenny.

It is understood that there was a well equipped bar in operation in the building.

An ambulance was called on the outskirts of Mooncoin, on the Kilkenny-Waterford border.

Paramedics performed CPR but the young man was dead.

His body was taken to Waterford University Hospital.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m.

Gardaí was called to the scene and examined the toilet.

It is understood that there were several other people present at the time of the man’s death.

Gardaí returned to the scene Thursday morning and seized several bar equipment.
