A teenager has died and two other young men are hospitalized with serious injuries after a stabbing tonight in the northern city center.

The incident took place around 9:20 pm on East Road in the northern city center.

Gardai rushed to the scene of a law enforcement incident on East Wall and the two young men were taken to Mater Hospital with serious injuries.

A short time later, a third man presented to Mater Hospital with injuries.

A source at the scene told Dublin Live earlier that the first two victims were in “very poor condition” and that the area had been sealed off while Gardai continued their investigations.

The local authority had established traffic detours to accommodate emergency services and keep cars out of the area.

A Garda spokesperson later added that “a third man has since reported to Mater Hospital for treatment for injuries.”

It is understood that one line of investigation that detectives are investigating is that the men had been involved in a dispute with another young man.
