Sleet and snow falls will fall across Ireland this week as a five day warning is maintained for the entire country.
Thursday will be a mix of sunny spells with isolated showers, but despite this you will expect mostly dry for the day.
Temperatures of 6 ° C will drop overnight to make way for winter rains and -3 ° C conditions with frost in some areas.
Met Eireann warns that it will be colder until the end of the weekend and that the weather conditions will become “increasingly wintry for the rest of the week.”
They add “risk of frost and icy conditions, with sleet or snow falling at times,” as the alert remains from midnight Wednesday to 11:59 pm Sunday night.
But the possibility that snow will not end there, as Met Eireann warned on Tuesday that “the rain will spread from the west towards Dublin, possibly falling as sleet or snow for a time as it meets the colder air.”

Friday : “There will be cold with sunny or bright spells and scattered winter rains, more intense and frequent in the west and north and widely dispersed further east. The highest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees with light breezes. Friday night will be very cold with frost and the development of ice patches. Some patches of fog too. Most areas will be dry. However, winter rains will continue in the northwest overnight. Lower temperatures of -4 to 0 degrees ” .
