Noah Donohoe vigil: Hundreds of people show their support for the mother of a schoolboy

A cavalcade of hundreds of cars crossed Belfast to Stormont last night in a show of support for the family of schoolboy Noah Donohoe.

he 14-year-old student from St. Malachy’s disappeared on June 21. After a massive search operation, her body was found six days later in a storm drain.

A post-mortem examination found that the cause of death was drowning.

Since then, his family has repeatedly called the police to do more to find out exactly what happened to the young man.

As supporters honked their car horns and tied blue ribbons to Stormont’s doors, the teen’s mother, Fiona Donohoe, again asked for answers about her son’s tragic death in the summer.

“This is the beginning of a new year, but it is not the end of our journey. And we will move on because there is more to it than this,” he said.

When asked what justice would be for her, she said: “The truth … if I knew the truth I would not be here, all I want is an investigation.”
