The climate activist turned 18 today.
Greta Thunberg attacked conspiracy theorists in an Instagram post posted on her 18th birthday.
Thunberg said, “Thank you so much for all the good wishes on my 18th birthday!
“Tonight you will find me in the local pub exposing all the dark secrets behind the weather – and the conspiracy of school strikes and my evil handlers who can no longer control me!
“I am finally free!”
To commemorate her birthday celebrations, Thunberg was interviewed by the Sunday Times. Even with his birthday gifts, he has expressed a desire to put the environment above all else.
She told the newspaper: “I don’t need new clothes. I know people who have clothes, so I would ask them if I can loan them or if they have something they no longer need.
“At worst, I guess I’ll buy second hand.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Thunberg said that he actually understands the criticism leveled at celebrities for their apparent hypocrisy on environmental issues.
She said, “I am not telling anyone else what to do, but there is a risk that when you express these things and do not practice while preaching, you will be criticized for it and what you are saying will not be taken seriously.”
In 2020, the Swede said that two years had been lost due to climate inactivity.
In an article written for The Guardian along with other young activists, Thunberg said:
“Looking back [over two years], a lot has happened. Many millions have taken to the streets … and on November 28, 2019, the European Parliament declared a climate and environmental emergency, “Thunberg said.
“But over the past two years, the world has also emitted more than 80 billion tons of CO2. We have seen ongoing natural disasters around the world. Many lives and livelihoods have been lost, and this is just the beginning.”
He added: “When it comes to action, we are still in a state of denial. The gap between what we have to do and what is actually being done is widening by the minute. Indeed, we have lost another two crucial years for political inaction “. . “
