It is understood that Gardai does not regard the tragic death of a Cork musician as suspicious.

Reuben Lynch, 45, was sadly found in a home on Curraheen Drive in Bishopstown yesterday after his family went to see if they heard from him for a few days.

Investigations into Reuben’s death are still ongoing, however it is understood that Gardai is not treating him as a suspect.

The 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was later taken to Cork University Hospital.

Assistant state pathologist Dr. Margaret Bolster performed an autopsy on the 45-year-old at CUH today, the results of which will not be made public.

“A talented musician that we will sadly miss.”

Another wrote: “RIP Reuben Lynch. Stunned and saddened to hear today’s news. Much love to Graham, Ricky, all of their family and friends. A great loss to Cork. Thank you for being kind to me from the first time I met you. . RIP Reuben “.

Another man, Rory Buckley from The Song Collector sessions, posted a photo of Reuben alongside Bagatelle star Liam Reilly, who also sadly passed away this week.

Himself, Ricky, Roy, and Liam got together after doing a Song Collector session on Pav.

Roy said: “Two fantastic musicians and friends left too early. This photo was taken after a song compilation session at The Pav. Thank you Liam Reilly and Reuben Lynch for sharing your passion with us.”
