The Masked Singer, which originated in South Korea, involves famous contestants performing in front of famous judges who have to look beyond the extravagant costumes to name the star on stage.

Rita, 30, successfully guessed that the show’s last winning series, Queen Bee, was Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts.

Speaking of the tracks this year, he said: ‘They are really difficult. I came in confident and now I’m like “not so easy”, but I hope and pray that I can leave again with the title of champion. Let’s see.’

In his opening remarks for the show, Jonathan, 60, said: ‘I’m still confident. I think my guesses are the closest to being correct by anyone on the panel. I think I’m going to nail it tonight. I’m on top of the world and I’m going to win. ‘

Davina, 53, revealed: ‘It’s too much to handle and not only do I feel quite competitive, but Mo, the newcomer, is already up there trying to win.

Last week, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 41, was the first singer to be unmasked when it was revealed that she was Alien.

Earlier this week, Sophie revealed that she knew she had been ‘rumbled’ on the show after three of the judges quickly predicted it was Alien.

Viewers weren’t surprised by Alien’s identity after guessing that he was Murder On The Dancefloor’s hitmaker due to his ‘distinctive’ voice and ‘easy’ tracks.

And Sophie admitted that the judges added her name to the mix, but it was removed from the final edit.

She told The Sun: ‘They didn’t put it in the edit, but three of the judges said my name too, so I already knew, so they had pissed me off.’

Unfortunately, none of the judges stayed with her as their final answer, and Lily Allen, Anna Cooper, Sophie Dahl, and Brenda Blethyn made the cut.

The singer tried to disguise her recognizable voice while singing Dua Lipa’s Don’t Start Now, but said even her 23-month-old son Mickey guessed it was her.
