This is the exact moment that Gardai and emergency services are rushing to seek treatment for a man after he was injured and subsequently killed in a West Dublin shooting earlier today.
The footage shows the cutler, who had allegedly threatened Gardai before being shot, being transported on a stretcher in northwest Dublin today.
Neighbors watched in horror as Gardai fired at the gunman, leaving him seriously injured after the sudden knife attack on members of Armed Support United in Clonee shortly after 1pm.
Videos obtained by Dublin Live show the man being taken to the ambulance by emergency personnel while mad screams are heard in the background.
The area is visibly flooded by Gardai and still remains closed while an investigation begins. The man was pronounced dead in the last minutes.
The man with the knife, who is in his early 20s, was shot by officers after approaching them with the gun at a housing estate on Manorfields Drive in Clonee shortly after 1 p.m.
The attacker was locked in a lengthy confrontation with Gardai after attempting to rob a nearby store in the area.
He was chased by uniformed and unarmed Gardai from the Hartstown business premises to the estate before threatening to cut the officers they were pursuing with the knife.
The Garda Armed Support United was later deployed to the scene and is believed to have attempted to arrest the man using a Taser gun and pepper spray, but refused to comply with Gardai.
The man was shot at least three times by officers after arriving at ASU with the knife as well.
A Garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: “At approximately 12:15 pm, Wednesday December 30, Gardaí responded to reports of a public order incident at a business premises in Hartstown.
“Reports indicated that a man, in his early twenties, armed with a knife was at the scene. Gardaí, uniformed and unarmed, responded to the scene and a chase on foot ensued.
“The man threatened the unarmed Gardaí with the knife. Members of the Armed Support Unit arrived at a location on Manorfields Drive, Dublin 15.
“The Armed Support Unit was also threatened with a knife and implemented a graduated police response where the use of less than lethal force options was initially administered in an effort to resolve the incident.
“Less-lethal use of force options were unsuccessful, and an official Garda firearm fired several shots at approximately 12:35 pm.
“The man was treated on the spot by paramedics from the Armed Support Unit, paramedics from the Dublin Fire Brigade.
“He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he declared dead this afternoon.
“The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission has been notified of the incident and is currently present at the scene. Investigations are ongoing.”

A spokeswoman for the Garda Ombudsman told Dublin Live: “GSOC received a referral under section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005 from the Garda Síochána following an incident this morning in Blanchardstown.
“A man was mortally wounded after the firing of a Garda firearm.
“The referral was made pursuant to Article 102 of the Garda Síochána Law of 2005, which provides for the independent investigation of any matter that appears to indicate that the conduct of a Garda Síochána member may have resulted in death or injury. serious to a person.
“GSOC deployed a team of investigators to the scene and continues to examine the incident.
“GSOC will not comment further at this time.”
