Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll is being sued by his former co-star Gary Hollywood following a salary discussion, according to reports.
O’Carroll faces allegations of constructive dismissal and discrimination in the workplace, according to the Daily Star Sunday.
Hollywood, 41, who reportedly resigned from comedy earlier this year, is also taking legal action against the BBC, the newspaper said.
Hollywood, who played Dino Doyle, told the Daily Star Sunday: “I feel like they don’t pay me equally and they don’t give me an explanation for the decisions.
“When I tried to figure it out, nothing was done. They just ignored me. But I won’t take it anymore.
“They won’t treat me like that. This has gone too far. They shouldn’t do this to people.
“I am taking legal action. The documents have been presented to a court and the process has begun.”
Hollywood said it believes he was paid less than his co-stars for the spinoff show All Round To Mrs Brown’s.
He said that after raising the issue with the bosses, they pulled it out of special holiday episodes this year.
A BBC spokesperson declined to comment on the allegations.
