Members of an Irish community have helped save Christmas for a heartbroken family who woke up to find all of their gifts stolen on Christmas Eve.
The heartbreaking discovery was made this morning around 7am at Castlecurragh Vale in Mulhuddart, Dublin, when the father got up to inspect all his seasonal hard work.
All the gifts for her little four-year-old son were gone, Dublin Live reports.
And her television, a new Dyson vacuum cleaner, which the mother had been putting away all year, and a purse full of money were also snatched at night by cowardly thieves.
But the local community has rallied around the family, with up to 30 locals coming down from shortly after 9 a.m. until now to donate gifts in a glittering display of Christmas spirit.
In the pictures you can see a rocking horse, a new scooter and a fire truck, while other locals offered to donate a new BMX bike, a new train and even a new PlayStation 5.
Gardai confirmed that they are investigating the theft.
They confirmed to Dublin Live: “Gardaí is investigating a robbery that occurred overnight at a property in Mulhuddart.
“During the robbery, several goods were taken.
“No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.”
