The Leinster Minor Hurling and Football Finals have been postponed due to the change to level 5 restrictions.
The province’s minor soccer final between Offaly and Meath was to take place on January 3 at Parnell Park, the day after the decisive hurling match at O’Moore Park in Portlaoise in which Offaly would also be involved against Kilkenny on Saturday. January 2nd.
Unfortunately, the GAA has been informed that under the new Level 5 restrictions, minor inter-county games are not allowed after December 27, thus the Leinster MFC and MHC finals are postponed.
The GAA intends to play the games at the earliest available opportunity.

The country has moved to Level 5 restrictions, with some waivers in effect, from Christmas Eve through January 12.
Munster’s minor pitching decider came on December 20 with Limerick defeating Tipperary 2-22 to 0-25 in overtime. Kerry beat Clare 2-14 to 1-07 in Munster MFC’s decider two days later on Tuesday.
Ulster’s soccer semifinals are scheduled for January 3, while the Connacht GAA Council has advanced its final between Sligo and Roscommon to December 26 due to entry restrictions.
