MET Éireann has issued a yellow status weather warning for Limerick ahead of Storm Bella’s arrival on St. Stephen’s Day.
The forecaster says the winds will reach average speeds of between 50 km / h and 65 km / h on Saturday with gusts of between 90 km / h and 110 km / h.
“With the combination of high winds, high waves and forecast storm surge, there is a risk of coastal flooding. More updates will be released as needed,” adds the advisory that also applies to all of Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork and Kerry. .
The warning, which was issued this Thursday afternoon, is valid from noon on Saturday (St. Stephen’s Day) until 6 a.m.
