Cork City appoints Healy as new head coach

Colin Healy has been appointed as the new head coach of Cork City FC.

The former Irish international, who made more than 150 first-team appearances with the club as a player, has been in charge of the Leesiders academy for the past three seasons and has taken over the first team on an interim basis following the departure of Neale Fenn. in October.

Cork was relegated to the First Division at the end of last season.

“I’m excited to close this deal, it’s a great opportunity and the hard work starts now,” said Healy, 40, who played for Celtic, Sunderland and Ipswich, among others.
