Jurgen Klopp couldn’t resist giving Manchester United a blatant blow when Liverpool won the 2020 BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year award.
Picking up the award alongside Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, Klopp took aim at the Reds’ bitter rivals with a smile on his face.
“Winning this award in Manchester makes it even sweeter,” Klopp said.
About the award, he added: “My team deserves it. They did an incredible job. Character, drive and the power of the club, which is very great. It was a great moment.”
“We can wait for the fans. We do what we can to save time until they come back.

Moments later, Klopp picked up the 2020 BBC Sports Personality Coach of the Year award.
On winning this award he added: “It is very nice and on behalf of my coaches I accept it and take it home to Liverpool. Thank you very much.”
Klopp guided Liverpool to their first Premier League title in club history last season.
